Waste and Resource Circulation

The LOGISTEED Group is working to realize a recycling-oriented society by improving resource efficiency through the reduction and recycling of waste generated by its business activities.
Action Policy
Basic approach
The LOGISTEED Group recognizes the proper management of waste generated by its business activities and the effective use of resources as key priorities. As logistics operations involve a wide range of packaging materials and transportation processes, it is essential to minimize generation of waste and promote recycling of resources. Through waste reduction and recycling initiatives, the Group will enhance resource efficiency and contribute to the realization of a recycling-oriented society.
Governance
To steadily advance initiatives aimed at realizing a recycling-oriented society, the Group has established a governance framework for waste management and resource recycling under its sustainability promotion structure. Important matters are deliberated and reported at management meetings and other forums, where policies are formulated and progress is monitored across the Group. The Group also works with its companies in Japan and overseas to implement initiatives aimed at reducing and recycling waste generated through business activities, leading to continuous improvement.
Targets and Performance
The Group has established relevant targets and metrics to promote waste reduction. We continuously manage and evaluate progress and incorporate the results into future measures to further enhance our initiatives.
Maintaining and increasing of recycling rate
In order to recycle the waste generated in our business activities as much as possible, we have been actively promoting the implementation of waste emission control measures and efforts to reduce the amount of landfill disposal in the Group overall, and striving to maintain and improve the recycling rate.
Scope: LOGISTEED, Japan group companies

Emissions of hazardous waste
We work to minimize the generation of hazardous waste from our business activities and monitor the amount of hazardous waste generated.

Initiatives
Circular economy initiatives through plastic resource recycling
Instead of disposing of plastic waste generated at our logistics centers (such as stretch film and pallets), we are working to build a recycling scheme that recycles it into plastic material products by collaborating with recyclers and plastic product manufacturers.
Recycling of plastic pallet

PALENET CO., LTD., a group company specializing in the sale and rental of plastic pallets, promotes circular resource use by providing damaged, unusable returned pallets, rather than disposing of them, to a plastic pallet manufacturer in which the company holds an equity stake. The provided plastic pallets undergo cleaning and crushing processes before being recycled as raw material for new pallets. These regenerated pallets are then reintroduced into PALENET CO., LTD.'s rental pallet operations. Through this initiative, over 20,000 used plastic pallets are recycled annually, reducing the use of new plastic materials. This helps reduce our environmental impact and facilitates the continued provision of sustainable logistics services.
Logistics services adapted to a recycling-oriented society
We support businesses that respond to consumer orientation changes from buying to renting and from owning to using through "Recovice," a logistics service for customers who provide usage and experience types of services such as rentals, subscriptions, and sharing. Through this, we are contributing to the development of a recycling-oriented society.
Award in packaging technology
The Japan Packaging Contest 2025 LOGISTEED Receives "Logistics Award"
We are working to improve packaging technology and to reduce environmental load including reduction of packaging-related materials and wastes while meeting customers' needs.
In FY2025, at the Japan Packaging Contest 2025 hosted by the Japan Packaging Institute, our "Upper Arm-Type Demo Set Reusable Packaging Box" received the "Logistics Award." This annual contest recognizes the most outstanding packaging and technologies of the year, aiming to promote the development and dissemination of superior packaging solutions. In the case of the "Upper Arm-Type Demo Set Reusable Packaging Box," by developing reusable packaging boxes tailored to the specifications of the cargo, which had previously been shipped in two cardboard boxes, we reduced transportation costs by 40% and shortened unpacking and repacking time by 60% through simplified packaging. In addition, we are reducing waste generation and promoting a circular economy through the reuse of packaging boxes, contributing to both greater logistics efficiency and reduced environmental impact.
